body lift soon do i need new body mounts?

Recommended Posts

hello,

havent posted in a while.

need to re do my body mounts but i am thinking of doing a body lift instead.

stupid question

if i do the body lift do i need new body mounts too?

sorry stupid question just need verification that the body lift will in essence be installing new body mounts?

my bed doesn't line up with my cab and i heard of new body mounts helping that issue. i figure if i gotta change body mounts i may as well get some lift out of it while i'm there.

thoughts?

I didn't need any when I did mine, but over the years I can tell they are starting to kinda break down. Gonna replace all mine sometime in the spring.

What size BL are you doin? I recently replaced my ball joints, need to replace bump stops and do something with my saggy leafsprings.. but I was thinkin of throwin a 2" BL on as well. You dont need to extend anything for that do you? Maybe unclip some wires?

so after reading around the PA 2inch bodylift seems to be the best.

any comments on truck bed loading capabilities after the bodylift is done? same load capability as stock, or, less weight carrying capability because of the body lift.

thanks for all the input so far.

As far as I know it's the same. I don't really haul much in the bed except for the rancher and I didn't see any difference before and after.
