My first was a '97 which I took delivery of in August of '96. It was a 5 speed with all the options. I put 70K hard driven miles on it and it kept coming back for more. I foolishly traded in the truck for a 2000 ZR2 with a automatic.(Dec 99) My 2000 never had a problem but my left leg was dying because their was no clutch pedal to push. Hence my current truck which was delivered in the last week of 2001. It might not be as mechanically sound as my 2000 was, but I love not being held hostage to the slush-a-matic of the 4L60E and having a cast iron front dif.
