Okay so as you all know i recently just purchased a blaZeR2, and i put in some silver start light bulbs on my highs and lows, and well a buddy of mine said that one of my lights is "up" more then the other one, and i went back and checked to make sure that the bulbs were sitting fine and they were.

Is there a way that i can aim or adjust the stock headlights?

Yep , there are two adjusters , one for up and down , and the other for left to right ...
They use a torx bit screw driver ...

or use a 1/4 inch drive. that works really well for moving them quckly.

The best thing that i do is park it on a level surface a couple feet back from a solid color wall, turn the lights on and adjust away. You'll be able to see the concentration of the lights and you can line'em right up.

Did you take off your grille to get to the lights or squeeze them in? You might have one of the little headlight tabs out of its hole in the bottom causing the headlight to be pointed up. When I bought my blazer one of the headlights were out so I had the dealer change the bulb out before I bought it... Idiot did it wrong, and only changed one of them...

Be gentle when using a torx...even though it is the right tool, the metal the adjuster is made of is pretty soft and mine stripped pretty quickly (oops) ...I just use a socket...can't remember the size right now, but a small socket will work wonders...i think that is what GeoffSFAs10 was talking about..it def. makes it alot faster, and is pretty much the only option if you strip it.

I have Silverstars as well and will never have another vehicle without them or an equivalent product. In fact the second night I had them I avoided a deer that I am pretty sure I would have owned had I still had stock bulbs. Only downside is I get flipped off alot by low cars that think my brights are still on. But then again, not a downside to me...

I second the tab being out of its "pocket" which will give it the high aim, and if you look at your headlight, it will have a larger gap towards the bottom and almost be touching the hood.

I agree with you guys that the silverstar bulbs are really nice, however I intend on another hid retrofit. I had done a bosch e46 projector retrofit on my old blazer, using the cruddy ebay projector housings, and it was nice, but the bubble on the lense messed up the cutoff lines, and produced a small amount of glare.

Either way, back to topic.. easiest way to aim halogen headlamps that I have found, is to set next to a wall on a flat surface, and turn your high beams on, and mark where the center point is. Then roll back around 25 feet, and move your high beams to match where you marked. And then do a road test...

When i got my truck from the dealer the tabs were not in so when i put in my silverstars i didn't think about it at all...but just fixed one and am working on the other...if your tabs are not in and you align them anyway, you have to adjust the headlight way up to have the clearance to get the tabs in...they are not that difficult to get it, but seeing what you are doing is...the previous link is oh so important...good post Scott
