With 54,000 miles on my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's they have reached the point of being annoyingly loud to me. Treadwear is still looking ok, but due to an alignment issue I have let go, the outsides are looking a little less ok.

This brings me to my dilemma. What tire should I get? I LOVE the look of the Goodyear Duratrac's and their apparent mastery of the snow (of which we get a lot of around Chicago). The issue I have with them is that I do nearly 100% of my driving on road, with only occasional gravel/dirt/grass adventures. No mudding, no rock crawling...none of that and none in the foreseeable future. Therefore the Duratrac's are not well suited to my needs at all. I dont however, want to go to the opposite end either and go with a strictly highway tire.

With that in mind I have found my way back to either the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's or the Michelin LTX A/T 2's. I have no experience with either tire and basing a decision solely on Tire Rack's survey reviews and data it would seem like the Michelin's would be the choice but they are slightly more expensive and IMO the BFGoodrich's look a little better.

I know plenty of people have experience with the All-Terrain T/A KO's but was wondering if anyone has experience with the Michelin's. I know some guys have used to LTX M/S tires from Michelin before and have seemed to really enjoy them but havent seen anything on the A/T 2's.

On a side note...I originally wanted to go with 33 x 10.5's but it seems that the only choice in that size is BFGoodrich and even those are backordered/out of stock everywhere. Wanted the 33's mainly just for a better looking truck and didnt want 12.5's due to all the extra work required.

BFG AT.

Wear, tread life, traction, noise, ease of balancing, I'll never buy another truck tire for pavement use.

I've run BFGoodrich All Terrains for quite a few years now and wouldn't run anything else. They are my favorite tires.

I've had 3 sets of BFG A/T's. I loved the first two sets, swore by them... The last set didn't last worth a shit for some reason. idunno.gif I also talked my neighbor into buying his first set - hell, his didn't last as long as my last set did.

I'm now on my second set of Duratracs. As far as I'm concerned, that's all I'll have from now on. You will sacrifice a bit as far as road noise... But by far I got more miles out of my last set than any of the BFG's I've ever had.

I had a set of Michelin LTX M/S's on my Durango back in the day. Those, by far, are the best tires I've ever owned. Back then I was burnout happy in that stupid Dodge and still managed to get well over 60,000 miles out of them before they were "may-pops."

I just got a set of Falken Rocky Mountain/ Wild Peaks. Haven't had them long enough to judge wear but they are very quite and smooth.

General AT/2's, the looks and performance of BFG ATs with out overpaying for the name, I've had two different sets and will never go back to BFG's cause of the price.
