i went on synergy to check the price of the axle, and now they have only the one choice for the 1541H alloy shafts. what happened with the other one? it was cheaper. i guess ill have to wait longer to get one.

I shot them an e-mail within the last two weeks asking about the different shafts and price. The way I use my truck I really don't think I need the alloy shaft. Never heard a word back. Want to buy one, have the cash, no response=no purchase. I can find a Bravada shaft locally. Probably cheaper. Would rather have an exact fit...........

i know, i want it for the exact fit. i was going to get the cheaper one that was strong as stock, i dont need the alloy either. way too much for the alloy too.

I guess I will chime in. We no longer are able to get the materials to build the stock strength shaft and unfortunately had to discontinue them. The new alloy shafts also now ship with a waterjet cut stainless steel delete plate. This plate can also be purchased alone if you go with a junkyard shaft. I know Justin is real busy and I will do my best to stay on top of any questions.

I am also interested in the shaft, but it seems some one had a problem with vibration when using it with the 4 button transfer case (Autotrac). Did that ever get sorted out and do you think there would be any issues? I will be flat towing the vehicle with the transfer case in neutral as per the owners manual.

I cannot see that being an issue but would check with Miles. He would be the one to ask about that, he isn't on the forum much anymore but pops up on txzr2. He was one of the first ones to run the bravada shaft and had the autotrac originally. With the transfercase in neutral there would be no issue with adding this shaft and flat towing.

Just did mine with the alloy last weekend! Went smooth as the Royal Purple 75w 90w I put in the diff. 4 days now and so far, no issues. Axle snapped into place nicely, I'm kinda OCD about stuff and having that snap ring holding on the CV just makes me feel better. And yes, I know many have used the stock Bravada shaft without the snapper on it, but it just helps me sleep at night.....If you drive it everyday, and have to have it to make a living, its worth the peace of mind.. drinkbuds.gif
