Vaguely. I remember working on something similar and givng up. If you take a look at the idea behind it it fairly well sucks except for baja1000 type stuff.
A 31.5x10.5 [if my calculations are close] would cost you about $700 per tire.
Or you can buy the 99cent balls at Walmart and be at about $60 per tire...THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME THING.

Yes. Very popular with quads, specifically on the GNCC circuit. Many woods ATV racers have used them for years.

Yup, been around for years. They use all kinds of stuff - golf balls, mouse balls, sand, equal, the list goes on. I use airsoft BB's in my big bias ply TSLs ans had them up over 70MPH with no vibrations once they warmed up. Cost me about $20 total.

We have no freeze issues here. I had water in the swampers and still they wouldn't balance.
I think the balls in the story are to prevent flats by being islolated air pockets and not a balancing device. Yjeyu pound as many in the tirea s possible on the theory that even a bullet will only take out one of say...fifty of them.
