if you do end up doing a body lift just go with the 2 inch I know its only an inch difference but the 3 inch shows way too much frame

i did the 3 inch on mine, you do see more frame but i dont mind it as long as the frame looks good and isnt rusty as hell. i made my own gapguards for the box and i think they turned out fairly well. Get the suspension lift if you can afford it, hard to find used ones though if you dont have the money to spend for a new one.

Do you have any pics of your gap guards?

Nothing wrong with body lifts. Lots of guys use them. By far the cheapest way to lift a truck. Don't have to touch your suspension. Easily installed in one day by one person. I would run a 2"BL long before the 2" Superlift "lift kit" rolleyes.gif. Yeah, the S10s are terrible about showing the frame, but a set of nerf bars hides most of it.

I don't like either, but so would I.

The other plus-side to a body lift is things are SO much easier to get to under the truck. I can't even begin to tell you how much easier getting the motor out of my SFA truck was, because it has a body lift.

I just got done helping a buddy re-install a motor in his non-BL'ed Jimmy. Talk about a pain, getting to all those bellhousing bolts. pissed.gif

I agree. Changing my clutch and reinstalling my trans was easy.

Here's my 2" bodylift

A clean black frame will look fine on a 2" body lift. I don't even notice mine. I think a darker truck would be even less noticeable.

Now I see why you removed your BL Derek! Your truck looked like ass with it!

Throw some gap guards on that truck and you'd never even be able to tell.

Seems like most people hate the frame that shows but if your frame is painted nice i honestly dont think it looks bad, even with the 3". Bonus on being able to get at those bell housing bolts alot easier too

Paint your frame, throw some sliders and gap guards on it, and never worry about it again.

Are there other sliders for our trucks besides the CKnaffle sliders?
