Sadly the last post I did on here was about this topic pretty much exactly lol. Got it all fixed up for a time and had the CV Joint rip in half at the boot because Auto Value gave me the non ZR2 piece even though I told them! That topic was here http://www.zr2usa.co...showtopic=49628.
The current issue is the new axle seal on the DRIVER(EDITED) side is still leaking. I'm wondering if these are common to not be working 100% properly or what things I can check. It is for sure coming from the seal, looks like the center and outside of it.
Current Issue:
The PASSENGER(EDIT) Is on its second CV Joint. The one I mentioned that ripped was the wrong one (It still somehow fit just fine... And they looked it up at the store and got it wrong but I found a ZR2 and a non ZR2 on autotalk and rockauto that match up with either other number wise but not on my receipts...)
Anyways the first CV joint did a near perfect split right around the middle of the boot on the wheel side of the CV shaft. This one I'm 99% sure that they gave me the correct part there because we measured it after and it coincidentally is measured out at the ZR2 CV shaft length. I'm pretty much excluding the wrong one but it still could be connected, but I'm curious what could cause a brand new part with less than 20 miles to rip in this way?
I always say I'm gonna make these short and sweet but they end up a wall of text but I like to think I'm thorough lol... Anyways you guys are all always a help and any input is appreciated! I intend to return my newest CV joint (which is wrong again...) and going with RockAuto and saving 60 bucks after shipping still.
Timeline: New CV joint (most likely correct) breaks = Next CV joint very wrong (too short normal s10) rips into two parts = Current CV Joint is the wrong one after checking, returning tomorrow, asking the ZR2 gods here today!
