Pick the date that works best for you. If you have any arguments against a specific date, comment here. Let's keep this thread just for deciding on a date, any other SL-related stuff... post in the other thread.

Personally, I like the later date - gives me more time to get things in order after school lets out, and I already can tell I'm going to be down to the wire on having things where I want them.

The 15th-17th is the best weekend.
That gives every body an extra week to get ready and still is a couple weeks away from the 4th when the town explodes with tourists! smile.gif

X2 but I will also need to know soon to get camp registration, and also it marks off a date on the calendar

Merely because of it's location and it seems to have settled in there for the annual ride. There are other locations that would attract different and hopefully more members. That's just me. It is my native state and it is no farther than Hot Springs for someone like myself.

If there's somewhere else you'd rather go for a trip, feel free to put one together... if I can swing it, I'll be wherever.

You can go "rock crawling" almost anywhere. Sand dunes on the east side of the country are not as easy to come by.

And some of us get bored of going .01 MPH all day.

Fuck Commiefornia. I'll tolerate going there on business but I will never spend a dime in that shithole as a tourist.

And SL isn't exactly a national meet like some of the rock crawl meets have been. Most live in Michigan or the surrounding states. Plus it's more appealing to stock rigs as anything can drive at SL and be reasonably sure you won't break something. Rocks are a different story.

But like JW said, organize a meet wherever you want and interested people will come.

Glamis is barely in Cali, it's just sand. Other than getting there it wouldn't cost any more than SL. And there is less regulation from what I've seen.
