I'll be living in MI by then, who wants to teach me how to drive on the dunes? John isn't allowed to, I don't want to jump the truck. lol.gif

UPDATE: The class has voted. Date will be 6/15-6/17.

We will be staying at the state park, make your reservation for a site here. Sooner the better as sites fill up fast.

Beat me too it!

We need to decide on a date soon, I don't want to go through camp-site reservations last minute ever again...

Mike, you can take my truck around a couple times to get use to the dunes. idunno.gif Couldn't possibly mess it up in the slightest.

Sarah will show you how its done. biggrin.gif

There's actually a pretty good chance she'll go. She just bought a 2009 Liberty, and I know she'll be dying to get out there and play.

I might go, I might not. All depends on work schedule. If I really end up in Tennessee in April like I'm supposed to, then I'll be bringing my truck down there ASAP. If I'm still in Nebraska and my truck is still at Adam's in Michigan (where it is now), I'll fly in for the weekend and find somebody to tow it up there for me. So really, I have no clue if I'll be there or not. lol.gif

lets pick a date/weekend/month for silver lake that works with everyone. the more time we have in advance for the meet then the more likely people can plan to attend. this will be my first year that i plan on attending. as of right now i have no weekend that wont work for me. if we wait till last minute and pick a date then i'm afraid it will conflict with people schedules.

The big meet has been mid-June for several years now so I'd say either the 15th-17th or the 22nd-24th.

i live in illinois. so i am closer enough to attend than most. i've never been to silver lake but i have been to warren dunes in sawyer,mi many many time for camping and hitting up the beach. its more of a family friendly environment and they don't offer offroading. still a great time though if you like camping. definitely got my ass kicked walking up the dunes there.

If you're concerned, SL can be family-friendly, sort of. lol.gif Steve brought his kids last time I went and as long as they're in bed at a reasonable hour they probably won't learn any new words or whatever. lol.gif

She seemed like she wanted to go pretty bad.

And you realize you say that every year right?

It can't be the last week of June.

I'm going to try my best to be there, but there is a chance I won't be able to. It all depends on how Chelsea's mom is doing.

So help me god, I'll be there.

Hopefully I have a trailer (and truck, for that matter) that's moveable by then.

SL will be my major trial run for the LSx swap, when I get back the next major milestone will be 'tons. Decided for times sake that I probably won't be 4-linking and dropping my 14-bolt in until after Silver Lake, my camper/trailer's going to keep me too busy.

Too much fun to miss out on. I'll be doing 1000 miles each way to make it. Perry will be my overnight stopping point again, I gotta get my yearly dose of cheese balls from John. Edit that as you will.

Put the extra leafs in the front at least, that should make it a little better. Maybe make it past the entrance before the front shaft flys off.

I agree,
the big meet has usually been the second or third weekend of June.
However this year there are 5 weekends in June.
So I vote for the third weekend, which is the 15th-17th.
That gives every one an extra weekend to get all thier stuff ready! thumup.gif

That's the plan, with DW making me a new front driveshaft as well.

I'd love to see you at the dunes again and teach you a few things Mike, but sadly I have no plans or intent to go to Silver Lake this year. sadwavey.gif
