I dunno what to do. 02 ZR2 Blazer. No power off the line and higher revs. When I floor it it slowly revs to 4k rpm and stays there and then finally shifts. If Im doing highway speeds the check engine light will begin to flash. Pullover shut off and restart, light is gone. I also notice a small shutter and jerk when it shifts up and rpm drops to 1800 rpm. Gas mileage sucks balls. Had this problem few months back and it disappeared, well now it's back?! I'd run the codes but they charge a hundred bucks to do it.

Im totally lost. Ive heard bad gas, power train sensor...?

Some places like autozone does it for free if there is one near you. Simply just looking up the code can solved the problem you are discribing.

Flashing SES means a massive misfire. Try pulling all of your plugs, checking the distributer cap and rotor for problems.

Also, try unpluging the MAF, it will cause firm shifts, but should run better if that is the other problem.

Sounds like the trans may have lost 1st gear? My mom old minivan did the same thing hit the gas nothing it would rev up till it grabbed 2nd and break the tires loose and take off.

Sorry.

Going into the shop tomorrow. They think that maybe there's a issue with fuel pressure and maybe throttle postioning sensor.

I was gonna say TPS before I read the last post. Thats exactly what happened to me. It's a cheap and easy thing to replace. You might be better off just replacing it before payin a shop.................

EDIT---------------------> TPS from Auto Zone for $29.99

6 hours and $500 (they gave me a deal) they checked everything. A ton of crap on the bottom of the tank, dirty fuel pump and fuel filter.
Lesson learned don't buy cheap gas off a reserve and don't let the tank run close to empty.
