I have a 350 in my shed that I got for free some time ago. It is brand new,it has center bolt heads, 1 piece rear main .The number is cast 5.7 sgi and 10443880 on the rear deck of the block. And V098C34 on the front pad. Been looking all over the net for the breakdown but can't seem to find it. Any help out there?

Its an 880 block just like the '96-02 Vortec 5.7L. The 5.7 sgi sounds familiar too. Could be a Vortec engine...can you post a picture? We can then give you a definite answer.

Ok, found a bunch of info. Its a 4 bolt main block with a machined fuel pump mount. flat lifters not rollers but the block is setup for them. The heads are not vortec heads, they are TBI OR TPI. Steel timing cover. So with all this info it must be around a 95 5.7 truck engine. maybe?
