Thanks alot. So besides the pod wires for the injector, what other wire do I need to run and where? What are the 2 additional 12V wires go and y. And can I wire a ford taurus efan into the silver pcm. Thanks again. I just dont want to wait and hope to have these questions answered when i have the truck apart.

The switched (when the key is on) 12 volt wires are actually what powers the injectors and they get wired to the fuse box under the hood. Just need to find 2 slots that are hot with the key on. I wouldnt recommend splicing into other wires because I think the voltage would drop.

The other wiring that needs to be done can be found in the sticky. Basically extending some wiring.

Thanks MWood, I have read the threads over and over, I was just curious about the injector wires to the newer silver box. I understand the rest of the wiring like the o2 wires. Thanks again.

IIRC, just use the original pink injector feed wire in your V6 harness and use that to tie all your pink wires on the injector pod to supply it with a switched 12V. For some reason, I remember having the odd and even cylinders pink wires separated in a group of 4.....

Yes, the silver pcm can control the taurus fan...I'm using 75A relays. Been using it myself and it makes it so much easier to control than an external controller. There are so many variables that you can mess with to control the fan....heres an example from my tune I made....

So does this mean things finally settled down for you a little bit, or are you still running yourself half to death keeping everybody happy?

lol.gif Settled Down?! lol.gif Not really. I've been working 50+ hours a week remodeling houses with a contractor. He is really good at what he does unlike the other goofballs I've dealt with. Other than that I'm trying to fix people's vehicles that all seem to be on their death beds, as well as trying to help my parents around their house, hanging out with my family, in the process of buying my first house, and trying to build this engine and swap it in. Needless to say I'm a little busy right now, but everything is going well, and I'm happy with the way everything is coming together in my life. I would really like to sell that Quadracer to recoup some of the money I'm spending on the swap though. I should be saving money not spending it lol.gif

Well its off to work for me! biggrin.gif

Well the motor is complete and ready to go in. I started taking the Blazer apart to make room for it. I will probably pull the core support off and the engine out Sunday. Hopefully make some good headway. rockon.gif

Are those self made wires or did you buy them as a set? If a set, What kind are they, and what make and model did you buy them for?

And just F.Y.I. No# 1 cylinder wire is way to close to the header, hope you move that out of the way before you run it. I'd run another heat sock.

Those Valve Covers with the Bowtie wire loom thing on them? Is that something you bought or something you made? It makes for a real clean look, I'd like to get something like that for my build... Some day.

Made the wires. #1 is not really very close just looks like it in that picture. I will more than likely wrap the headers anyways.

The engine is done, the wiring is done, and the Blazer is ready to accept the new engine. And that is how it has been for a couple weeks now. The project has been pushed aside because I finally closed on my new house, and I'm making several improvements to it right now. Working 55+ hours a week and then coming home to work all night. Not really leaving me any extra time for the Blazer. I hope to get back on it in a couple weeks and wrap it up. The Vibe is not a good work truck and needs to be parked. sticksmack.gif Its the dirtiest its ever been and its driving me absolutely crazy every time I get in it.

I've got a Blazer that ran fine in pieces, and a house that was "move in ready" all torn apart. rolleyes.gif

Sean, let me know if you need any help with anything. My weekends are relatively unplanned in the next few weeks.

I have been in and out of the garage working on it when I get a chance. I got it all back together and running. I'm trying to sort out a P0300 Random Multiple cylinder misfire. I'm gonna take another look at it in the morning. I hate that code. It runs pretty well, but hesitates if I punch the throttle. Seems to smooth out at higher RPM. At first I was thinking it was because I haven't done the CASE Learn, but from what i've read, it doesn't sound like it will identify misfires if that's the problem. I'm pretty frustrated at this point since I really need the vehicle and I'm so close to having it back on the road. I've tried all the obvious solutions with no luck. Most all parts are new. I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow. idunno.gif

Sean,

My friend Adam works at the GM dealer here in Jackson. He also does a lot of side work in his garage at home. If you get really frustrated, I'm sure he would be happy to help you out. He's very smart, and his rates are very reasonable. He also has a couple spare engines like yours sitting around he could parts swap to help diagnose if necessary. I'll loan you my truck and trailer if you need to get it over here.

Wish I could help more than that, but your troubles are over my head at this point. Good luck man!

Chris
