Flat towed an S10 about 1.5 hours total, first time ever flat towing something and the fact the roads were fairly slick made things.... let's just say interesting

You've never flat towed anything? I thought everybody here did that.

Nope, I've strap towed a few times for short distances but this was the first time using a tow bar. I'll be doing it a fair bit more I'm sure.

I've only used a tow bar once, to bring a 64 C10 home with my old 91 blazer.

I can't remember how many times I've done it with a strap though.

Holy smokes! I just wired my truck up with electric brakes .... Although, my weekend tow in the summer!

just towed a jeep out of a mudhole (twice!) after he tried to follow my daughter through it.  when you're on 35s trying to follow 42s, sometimes it'll backfire!

this was back in 2010.....Harlan, KY.   Lion's Den, probably one of the farthest points from camp.......He broke the steering ram joint and couldnt steer......

must be a jeep thing.  we spent (mostly Chris) hours fixing a jeep in order to get him out of Lions Den

yeah, it was an ugly break in a really bad spot.  thankfully you had just about all the tools that were needed.

I thought so, too. Got one runner and the one pictured as a parts sled for $400. Going to make a sport utility sled out of it.
