Nope, I've strap towed a few times for short distances but this was the first time using a tow bar. I'll be doing it a fair bit more I'm sure.

I've only used a tow bar once, to bring a 64 C10 home with my old 91 blazer. lol.gif

I can't remember how many times I've done it with a strap though.

just towed a jeep out of a mudhole (twice!) after he tried to follow my daughter through it.  when you're on 35s trying to follow 42s, sometimes it'll backfire!   :jester:

this was back in 2010.....Harlan, KY.   Lion's Den, probably one of the farthest points from camp.......He broke the steering ram joint and couldnt steer......

must be a jeep thing.  we spent (mostly Chris) hours fixing a jeep in order to get him out of Lions Den  :jester:

yeah, it was an ugly break in a really bad spot.  thankfully you had just about all the tools that were needed.

I thought so, too. Got one runner and the one pictured as a parts sled for $400. Going to make a sport utility sled out of it.
