When I bought my truck, the wiring harness at the hitch was all tore up and frayed and needless to say it doesnt light up my hitch brake light. Where can I get a replacement harness or do I have to cut out and rewire it all up myself?

Wal-Mart, Autozone, Pep-Boys, Adanced Auto, Napa... etc..

If it's just a 4-way, just get a 4-way plug from any of those places... Green to green, brown to brown, etc.

You can great brackets for the plugs, but I just tuck mine up underneath the bumper when I'm not using it

from ME biggrin.gif I have exactly what you need for $5 plus 1-2 shipping

what i have is only a couple months old and in excellent shape...you just simply unplug your tail light connecter and plug in the T connector, plug your lights backinto that and you got a trailer harness!

It is just a harness...it is also a straight four pin connector. when i had it on my truck i just took a wire tie and strapped it to the bottom of the bumper where the stock safety chain loops are. I will send you a PM biggrin.gif

check to see what you got first. Make sure it isn't like mine. The wire coming out of my T connector is only like 6 inches long. Then it plugs into basically just a extension that you hook to your trailer. The nice thing is that when i am not going to pull anything, i can take that out and there is not wire hanging out. If the previous owner put one of those on you could just replace the "extension"
