Well I guess you can say that you've haven't wheeled hard unless you broke something, got stuck, or.... hydrolocked your engine  :D

Snorkle anyone??

Snorkle???..................my thoughts exactly.

Hey man, wheel as hard as you want. Carnage is apart of it but I like to stay away from Carnage as much as possible. Guess thats why I don't wheel mine (DD) much. :Idunno:

Yes next time use a larger JACK STAND instead of the concrete blocks for extra height.

Good Job.

One other thing to remember as well, if you have that thing submerged in water whereas the exhaust is under water try and keep the RPM's up to keep the motor running, as soon as it dies it will suck water up the exhaust as well.

I mean I can tell a significant difference from BEFORE this all happened and AFTER it happened.. it still starts up but it sounds sluggish when starting up just a little bit.. only when starting though, the engine is fine and not sluggish at all.. can I still bend a piston rod if its doing that? and should I do take out the spark plugs and do that process asap?

If its running your OK.

you will know when you have a bent or broken rod. Can you say "HAMMER TIME"!!! :crazybeat:

what do you mean crank the engine? just turn it on or what?

Yup, with spark plugs out, hit the key and crank the engine. Obviously it won't start because it wont have the plugs in it but it will pump the water out the cylinders.

thats why it would just CLICK, you can't compress water, therefore the engine wouldn't turn.

once you get the water out put the spark plugs back in and then try to start. the engine will crank freely. you could have bent or broke a piston rod in the process of cranking a HYDROLOCKED engine. You were lucky.

NO START = HYDROLOCK

Word of advice, next time you stall in water, it's best to be pulled out, remove all spark plugs and then crank engine to remove water from cylinders. Once this is done replace spark plugs and proceed to start engine. Your lucky no internal carnage to the motor.

Nice pics and GOOD LOOKING truck, looked like fun.

I gotta say I like the yota's...

Anyhow,,, hell I got 18.5 once in my Z with the cruise set on 70 on a road trip once. That's the best I've ever gotten.

I usually don't avg over 15.5 to 16.5. :P

Must be a Kentucky thing. :Idunno:

QUOTE (jpm8463 @ Jan 1 2008, 08:31 PM)
so i installed a new itake gasket set in my blazer and upon reinstalling my distributor i noticed that it is missing the #6 stamp for lining up timing when engine is at top dead for # 1. got it where i sthink it should be and truck starts but running real rough and tripping this code. any ideas? would it start with one tooth off ?

yes it will start and run being one tooth off. I don't think you can retard or advance the timing by adjusting the distributor housing like in the old days.

Bring number 1 piston back to TDC. Mark direction your rotor button is pointing and remove distributor. Replace distributor one tooth in either direction till you have it not setting codes.

Hope this works, I'm only speaking from experience.

Newb from central Ky here. Long time visitor (year and a half or so)

Ive owned my BlaZeR2 for about a year. Stumbled across this site while Googling ZR2 back when thinking about buying one.

This site deffinately made up my mind. Alot of nice rigs here that inspire me. Hope to build mine up as most of you here have and update you along the way.

I've got to say Jigg's is the best BlaZeR2 on here, no offense to anybody else but Jigg when my BlaZeR2 grows up, I want it to be just like yours.

Thanks to all who keep this site going and and provide insight to this addiction.
