Turn the ignition switch to on, wait 5 seconds or so, then turn key to start & then see if it cranks right up. |

It was the steel lines - rusted out and a front caliper went out. Also replaced the flex hoses too. |

Ironically, my truck was due for state inspection tomorrow. Yesterday, I was raking leaves & needed gas for the mulcher. Drove to the end of my driveway & the brake peddle went slowly to the floor. I am now out on the road, I pumped the peddle & got the truck stopped, peddle then went to the floor again. Backed the truck very slowly into the driveway. I looked underneath & the right front tire was soaked with brake fluid. Here's the kicker - the flex line for the rearend also sprayed fluid all over the driveshaft & rear. These went at the same time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/scared.gif) Seems like when the front caliper went, the extra pressure on the rear lines broke the hose. Buy, I'm glad this didn't happen on the highway! Truck is 10 years old, need to check the rubber stuff more closely. |

I just replaced a worn out tonneau with an Extang. The instructions show an install with an over the rail liner. They have you cut small openings in the liner so the clamps can be inserted & tightened down. |

Mine did that one day, would start & then shut down as soon as I left off of the key,the dash security light stayed on. Called dealer & they said to leave key in the on pos. for 10-15 minutes. It cleared out & not back since ( knock on wood ). |

10 seconds was just a figure. Sometimes when my truck sets for a 1/2 hour or so it will crank over longer before starting. Waiting for X amount of time with key on & it starts right up. |

This note is from some info I copied some time ago, it's for a 99' pickup install. "You need to hook the Dark Green/White wire from the OHC to the VSS Wire. The VSS wire is on the (BCM) driverside off to the right of the gas pedal and the wire color is light blue/white." Do this at your own risk, I have not done this myself |

Does the engine die as soon as you release the key from the start pos.? If so, does your security dash light stay on? If that security light is not out when you try to start, the engine will quit. If that light is on steady (with ign sw on), leave the ign sw turned on for 10-15 minutes & see if it goes out. |

You trying to turn the wheels sitting still ? With 31's they turn hard when not moving. I let it move a little & then turn. |

On my 99' Driverside front. Look between the tire & inner fender, at 2 o'clock or so. The stamped ZR2 is upside down. |
