Ok, changing out my u-joints while I had the engine out for cam swap...is this the u-joint I need for the REAR driveshaft near the diff? Are two of the clips supposed to be on the inside and two outside? If so, the dealer definitely put the wrong one in there over 5 years ago.

From the looks of it, the driveshaft side needs the 1.125 cup size and the diff needs the full size at 1.188. Am I correct since a standard 1350 type full size u-joint will not fit on my driveshaft?

Buy the five and rotate accordingly using the spare in the rotation. Get more mileage before you buy again, sleep better since the size differential seems to be bothering you. And if you lose a tire to a blow out or irrepairable damage you have a spare with the same diameter/wear pattern/brand/tread pattern.

Keep the factory spare and use it in an emergency, but if that emergency is 1000 miles from home and they don't have your size tire in Fairfuck Virginia, then you've screwed yourself. But only to the point of an odd pull in one direction or the other, and a possible pull when braking. No big deal, but now that you've had that blowout you've got three so-so tires and the new replacement, and VERY different diameters going due to wear on the remaining three.

If you don't travel far from home; ditch the spare entirely and carry an air can and tire-snot and a plug kit instead.

Good cases can be made for all three cures.

I might keep my swamper spare when I buy the Kevlars. I put less than 3000 a year on the ghost so a matching spare will not increase the time between buying sets of tires. BUT; the swamper is the same size. I can see all three ways to go as equal. The only reason I keep the spare on the ghost is we tend to take off on a moments notice for a week or so into Death Valley and I have to store the damn thing somewhere, so i keep it on the truck. If it weren't for the impromptu trips the spare would be relagated to the back-lot, or possibly not exist at all.
