I got my Z from my cousin who got it from his father.

It's an 03 GMC Highrider, 99k miles.

The bed was loaded with cigarette butts, and the interior was coated in nicotine. First thing I did when I got it home was give it a bath.

Being a typical teenage boy, I had to make sure I'd differentiate myself from other Z's so I decided to pick up some used aftermarket LED tail lights. My Aunt also decided to buy me a LED mudflap strip that looks into the trailer lights. (It looks like a little too much and I might ditch them).

I was having trouble with the old tonneau cover and getting it strapped down, so I just took it off for the time being.

First thing I did this summer after getting my license is take the Z off road...and of course, get stuck.

Come to find out, I had the vacuum hose that runs to the passenger side loose so even though the transfer case clicked, I didn't have power to the front wheels...Rookie mistake :sticksmack: Then again, as you can see from the pictures it wasn't much of a crazy cut through the woods, just a sand trail...

But, I got out with a little macgyvering and maneuvering and headed back.

She just cranked over 102k today.

I'd list everything, but I wouldn't be a young'n anymore by the time I'm done

My major "to-dos" at the moment are a brush guard, debating hidden or not winch, fog lights, and painting the flares. I'm also debating if I should install a CB or not.

Once I finish battling the small issues I have I'll get around to that.

Welcome to the site.

Where in Jersey are you?

Matawan, Momouth county (aka typical suburbia with no trails :mope:)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Update: Starting to have trouble starting...video to follow. I'm pretty sure it's the starter, it's been giving me issues since I got it; it's just getting progressively worse.

Our offroad group requires that you have a cb so that instructions can be sent like turns and dont turns and when's lunch sorta things. For the cheap they are and as handy as they are when with someone else, spend the $89 on a great one or watch yard sales and get a $10 one. 40 channels isn't important. Some older 23 channel units really crank. $2 at yard sales, a $20 new antenna if you don't have one, and you're ready to go with any group that invites you.

So they actually do have a GMC center cap for it?

I'll have to try to find a set...then I won't have to run chevy caps on a GMC :sticksmack:

And those caps just snap over the threaded lugnuts.

So if I grabbed them from somewhere I wouldn't even need lug nut covers?

Damn Bobby that was quick! Glad you like them. It definitely would look better with GMC caps and chrome rings

As long as you have the stock lugnuts that are threaded on the outside yes.

For the time being, do you think I'll have issues running open lugs on them?

I was thinking of taking it off roading tomorrow...I know I'll probably get mud and water inside the lug but I'll clean it out.
