truck bounces at 45mph

10 posts in this topic

My truck bounces when im driving around 40-50mph. I just replaced the front shocks and ball joints. I cant tell if its the front or rear that is bouncing. Its annoying though. Its a fast bounce, like 2 times a second. Maybe i should replace my rear shocks? Could a wheel be out of balance? I have no idea.

45 mph is the -exact- speed that my unbalanced tires start vibrating really badly

I had mine rotated a few months ago. I thought they always balanced them when they rotated? maybe not. I will get them checked again.

check your psi, if one tire is off it could make it bounce

So first check all tires PSI

Next, get the tires balanced if you have not done so this could also cause bounce at those speeds

check for a bent wheel sometimes you wont feel if a wheel is bent also until those speeds

I had one tire at like 40 psi and the others were 32 it totally affected the ride especially 50-55 i get the steering wheel shake

Other than that what kinda tires you runnin?

They are 32x11.5x17 super swampers. I will go check the psi on them. Should there always be a wheel weight?
